New Management Team for Texas Gulf Coast Marina

New Management Team for Texas Gulf Coast Marina

Freeport, TX, 1 November 2007 — The owners of Bridge Harbor Yacht Club have hired a professional marina management company to operate the entire property. Bridge Harbor Yacht Club is a full service marina located in Freeport, TX, just 45 minutes outside of Houston. The marina owners have contracted with the Boca Raton based management and consulting firm Marina Management Services, Inc. (MMS) to operate the property.

MMS will oversee the operations of the 25-acre property, which includes 300 covered and uncovered wet slips, a fuel dock, several marine tenants including West Marine and Gulfstream Yacht Service, a restaurant and banquet hall, and a full suite of recreational amenities. The marina provides fast, unrestricted access to some of the best deep sea fishing the Gulf of Mexico offers.

The owners of the property decided to bring in a professional management team to improve the overall operations of the marina. An owner’s representative said, “It was time for a change, and we hope that by having MMS handle the marina our customers will see an overall improvement.” Tim Keogh, from MMS, said they are, “excited about the potential of Bridge Harbor and look forward to improving our long term and transient customer’s overall boating experience.”

MMS has relocated Patrick Louis to the Freeport area to become the new on-site Director of Operations. A 30-year veteran of the marina industry, Patrick joined the MMS team back in 2004 at Snug Harbour Marina. “The marina was once a weekend destination and a home for annual sport fishing tournaments,” said Louis, “we hope to bring that vision back to the property.”

Since 1988, MMS has developed an excellent reputation as the premier international management and consulting firm specializing in the marina and boatyard industry. The company has extensive experience with marinas throughout the world and is currently managing marinas projects in Florida, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Netherlands Antilles.
